If the Caps said well give you Semin for a 7th round pick I would say no. I personnely think he brings a lot of negativity in the locker room, laziness, and terrible contract.

All of the players were tired of playing for Bruce. You could see it in every one of the player’s games.

It’s all about his attitude though. With Bruce Boudreau gone, expect to see an entirely different Washington Capitals squad.

The penalties are a key issue with Semin because usually they are the result of laziness. Hooking and tripping are not penalties someone with his speed should be taking. If and when he is able to cut those out, his game and the fan’s appreciation will increase.
