Yeah, I'm with you on this one. It's unfortunate - he'd be fucking fantastic on the Richards top line - but the ways the Rangers have of making this deal financially possible all involve giving up things they wouldn't want to lose. It's not like Anaheim's selling one of the top up-and-coming power forwards in the NHL cheaply.

Its hard to see how the Ragners could take on another $5 million in salary. They probably have the assets to make Anaheim a really good offer, but its unlikely they would be willing to part with anyone that would clear enough cap space. Its possible that maybe they would trade Dubinsky due to his current slump, but I don't see thats a very likely.

It would be nice to see the Rangers pick up another solid scorer, but I just don't see this happening.

A change of scenery might do Dubinsky some good too. I say start a deal with Dubi and Zucc and see where that leads.

A change of scenery could do Ryan good. He's from the Philly area, so playing closer to home may give him the jump he needs. Plus NY would be a good fit in terms of what they could offer, my only question is can they make it work money wise? They may have to dump some salary in order to do a deal for Ryan.
