I’d hate to see the Canucks trade the hot goalie who is upcoming and keep the goalie who lost his game. The latter is almost certainly what will happen with Luongo’s contract. It’s not THAT unheard of to carry a high-priced backup for a time. Boston did it with Thomas (temporarily), Chicago won a cup with Huet opening the door…Anaheim got away with it w/Giguere until he forced his way outta there. Will be interesting to see how the VAN situation plays out.
