You know, I think a change in Washingtons coaching is in order. After all, it couldn't hurt.

However, if they are going to do it... they should just do it. Its really not fair to Boudreau to have rumors swirling around like this if they are true. If their not true then there isn't much the Caps can do obviously, but I hope there not stringing him along simply until they have a replacement lined up. Even though things have gone south for Boudrea of late, he really did do quite a bit for the Caps and they should be fair to him.

Couldn't agree more, and I'll never know why they made the switch. Their post season struggles had a lot more to do with poor contribution from key players then it did with a lack of defense. All the change managed to do was screw up the part of the game the Caps dominated at. Now they are a weak defensive team with a sluggish offense... and you can't tell me Ovechkin's struggles aren't linked to their current system.

Horrible decision to change things the way they did, and people need to be held accountable. After all, isn't that their theam this year? Holding people accountable?

The Caps need to go back to their open style, scoring in bunches. I think this accomplishes two things. The first is Ovi will start having fun again. He may never score 65 again, but he should be able to put up 50 consistently. The second thing is, with a run and gun approach, the defense will suffer slightly allowing for more shots on Vokoun which he is used to. He can get into more of a rhythm and stop giving up so many goals.
