As they said before, no-brainer. Paycheck aside, you go with the hot hand, and if your high-priced ‘starter’ doesn’t like it, then it’s on him to step up and show that he’s worth that money. Tim Thomas, for example, had to win back his job last season, remember?

Luongo hasn’t shown much so far this year to show that the Canucks should rely on him. Maybe missing half a dozen games in a row in favor of Schneider will motivate him. If not, well, the Canucks are better off anyway.

Hahahaha. Definatly can’t complain. I have been one of Lu’s biggest supporters but Schneids is coming off back to back shutouts and 1 goal against in last 3. I want to see Lu get back in the fold, but 1 goal against in 3 games and back to back shutouts warrants another start. I dont care if it’s Patrick Roy coming back from injury, you play your goalie who is sporting those stats.

I’m appreciative of Schneider’s performance but I’m actually quite surprised by this decision; Luongo typically plays well against the Sharks and I expected that on back-to-back games he would get the nod. Either way can’t complain, Schneider has been monstrous.
