Except for US goalies your Big Bad Bruins are CANADIANS! Must make you cringe!
Makes me HAPPY like this Penguins game tonite!! They are mostly all Canadians too!
I knew many were Canadians but after surfing the team rosters, they reign supreme!
Buffalo has the least, so there you go.
You smart guys know everything? but I will study until I know more than you!

Great to see hockey on TV again. Love hearing the National Anthem before games. Nice to hear Crosby is back, love the hitting sure wish they could come up with a helmet that could alleviate the concussions.

As I wrote earlier in the thread, the game is getting very popular again and people enjoy the hard hitting and the Finals ratings on NBC were huge, despite having a team from Canada in it. As for the physical game, most hockey fans love it. It’s part of the game. If Shanahan continues to do his job and gets rid of the head shots, the game will continue to move forward. What is great for hockey right now is that all of the Original Six seem to be doing well.

I don’t know pastabelly, those #s are pretty convincing to me. According to pftbillsfan’s logic, the average NFL preseason games has about 4.5 billion viewers. How can you argue with that?

Bruins-Canucks game 7 tv ratings were as high as any for an NHL game in the US since 1973. So, basically, you are full of it.

I love the nhl just wish it would return to 05-06 like style of play, skilled guys shining, and cheap shots largely null because of game speed.

The game is doing ok in my opinion (provided the league shows some more consistency with some of its rulings/disciplinary actions), if the majority of people don’t think so, that’s fine with me, there will be less competition for tickets to games.

& regarding the ‘in front of the whole world’ nonsense, it’s an NBC website plugging an NBC game, this sort of hype is par for the course.

It’s a damn shame the Wings can’t wear their all red AND the Bruins don their all black for this one. That would be glorious to watch. As is, I’m geeked. This is kind of like watching a couple of conference leaders in the NFL square off. Original Six hockey, good stuff.

I guess the only thing that could make this better is if Cindy Crosby were celebrating her return to hockey in between periods by riding the Zamboni. Yeah, that would be great.

squaring off in front if the whole world…cue the violin and harps. more likely a few hundred thousand people or about 1/15000th of the average nfl preseason game, because hockey has reverted to pre lockout drivel.
