Problem is, he WANTS a trade- so if you trade him, you give him exactly what he wants. Since Phoenix doesn't seem to be struggling too badly without him, I'd say wait until the deadline to deal him. That does two things- first, it gives the Coyotes a well-deserved chance to make his life miserable. Two, it means that at at the deadline, they may be able to get multiple playoff contenders (in the East, of course) interested and drive up the price on him.

It won't happen, but it's a nice pipe dream isn't it?

While I agree with the anger at him for being a dofus for holding out, the Yotes have an asset and this is their chance to trade him and get something back to help this team.

If Turris actually signs this deal, I'll almost be disappointed in the 'Yotes for talking to this slimeball at all. More modest contract or not, after the crap he pulled they should just let him sit at home. Or at least if he signs, send him straight to the minors, at least for a couple of weeks- you know, 'conditioning stint' since he didn't have a training camp or first two months of the season.
