maybe you hadn’t heard: Vancouver player resorts to cannibalism and tried biting Bergeron’s digits off. Thornton receives a cheap shot resulting in a head injury and misses the rest of the playoffs. it goes both ways.

so based on govtminion’s comments… i believe there is some confusion between “goon hockey” and “physical hockey”.. so when rephrasing your previous comments.. then no… there is no other team that can get away (and run with it all the way to the cup mind you) with goon hockey… so your right.. Buffalo is not “designed” for goon hockey. the Bruins are the only team stuck in the homo-erectus mind frame and have yet to evolve to the new NHL.. which from what i seen last season, the NHL is doing a complete 180 on!

Fair enough. Explain to me then exactly who on the Sabres roster is going to do the job. Remember- starting a fight is one thing, finishing it is another. You lose that fight, you look like an idiot and momentum shifts the other way, so if you start it you’d better win it.

So, go on expert, who on the Sabres roster takes Lucic and wins? Leaving out the rest of the Bruins, find me one Sabre that has a chance at dropping Lucic.

Suggestion, Sabres?

Don’t even think about it. Seriously. I’m a B’s fan, I admit, but bottom line your team isn’t designed for that kind of angry, hitting kind of hockey. Boston IS. So don’t play their game.

You want to beat the Bruins? Do it on the scoreboard. Not easy these days either, mind you, but a hell of a lot more likely- and less painful- than trying it with goon play. Giving in to taking it out on them physically only gives the Bruins exactly the kind of game they excel at.
