You know, I think the nameplate’s growing on me. And it’s one of the things I hate about their normal ones.

But here, with the black, it’s gives a little balance.

Beautiful. Love the tie up collar. Except for….and someone has already mentioned it….the name plate. Just sew the name onto the back or get an orange name plate that matches the sweater.

I get that maybe the white is there so the names are easier to read, but it kills a nice sweater. It’s still something Flyer fan can be happy with. Still think the Bruins-Flyers tilt in Fenway a couple of years back was the best!

Either way, here’s to you, Philly.

Wow. Those are pretty awful….. like something the Cat in the Hat would wear if Dr. Seuss wrote a book about Flyers hockey. I like the actual Winter Classic jerseys, but compared to those, they are incredible.

I like them. They’re all new, but they have a lot of classic elements.

The thing i find funny is that the two names showing in the picture are Betts, who was waived then returned, then sent to the minors, and Shelley, who’s been suspended and scratched for the majority of the season. If those are the names the photographer wants to show I’m terrified to know who’s name’s on the back of the middle one…. Berube? haha

I like em. I think the white nameplate is not ideal, but given the colors, I’m not sure the white-border-black-fill letters or plan-black-letters would be significantly better.

Thumbs up, though. Chicago’s black-tan-red are still my favorite to come out of the winter classic… this is right up there.

Kind of reminds of a pylon. Isn’t orange the PA state color? Driving down any PA road all you see is orange barrels.

But really tho I think the jerseys look nice.

Haha they aren’t that bad. They aren’t the greatest but they aren’t the worst. We have to remember that there isn’t much that can’t be done with the Flyers’ logo/colors.

Erm…

OK, I love the orange- as far as I’m concerned, the Flyers should be wearing as much orange as possible, and that’s good. The white name-plate looks just as tacky here the name-plate does on their normal jerseys though. Very good jersey though.

That said, and I admit to being a homer, but I have to argue the bit about these being the nicest-looking Winter Classic jerseys. The yellow and brown ones worn by the Bruins a couple of years ago were just awesome, truly a pity they weren’t used again after the season.
