NBA players to Dave, Shut up you meddling know it all. You aren’t a lawyer, you have nothing to do with the NBA, and really no professional sports league since you no longer play in the NHL. You don’t know the siuation, you don’t know the people involved, or the moving pieces, the reasons for the lockout. Go join T.O. and the Ryan brothers on don’t say stupid stuff island.

The Lightning have over 13,000 full season ticket holders. Pretty damn impressive if you ask me. That also isn’t his title. You should look it up.

Is he responsible for the fans they already have (all 8 of them)? In that case, it’s a easy check. Or is he responsible for new fans? In that case, he’s not exactly doing a bang up job

Dave’s duties range from color commentary on television and radio broadcasts, charitable contributions and appearances in the community, representing the team in official capacities (such as the Draft and/or lottery), and numerous fan relations activities and fundraisers. I know it is quite chic to laugh since they are the Lightning (what’s the matter, you pulling a whiny Holmgren because they beat your favorite team, too?) but don’t act like each and every other team doesn’t give one of their former legends a role like this*. Jeff Vinik is world-class.

So bite me.

*except Florida – their only legend is a dead rat.
