I honestly like the hit. Goalies should not have any sort of immunity outside of the crease. I also have no problem with calling it charging, but why should a goalie be off limits when they wander out of their net like this? I remember seeing Darcy Hordichuk hit Marty Turco in a similar play and he paid for it with a charging call and a couple of Dallas Stars running at him. I think they should call it a charge if it’s actually a charge but don’t penalize a player just because they hit a goalie in a race for the puck.

Miller has made his opinion on Lucic quite clear, but I wonder what he thinks of his own teammates?

The lack of a response from the Sabres has to be demoralizing for Miller AND their fans; (just thinking back to how I felt when noone on the Bruins went after Cooke in the game where he took out Savard)

Ha! It is on! The Adams Division is back. The next five games between these two teams may be worth the price I paid for Center Ice alone. The next three are in Buffalo and they final game of the year is between them and in Boston. I’ll bet it means something. This is good stuff.

And as for a Black Wednesday, I don’t see it. Lucic can give as good as he gets with anyone is the league as far as goal scoring or fighting. It warms my heart to know my team is physical and motivated. Go Bruins!

I think the only gutless part of play was millers machete-like swipe of his goalie stick at Lucic after he got his bell rung. You come out that far in my opinion and you are fair game. Goalies have more padding on than the Michelin man.

He shouldn’t have hit him, he should have gotten a 5, and the Sabres are gutless for not dropping the gloves and beating some sense into Lucic.
