The puck was long gone and he had time to stop himself from hitting or soften the hit, but he didn’t. Charging or interference, but not elbowing. Really strange that he was suspended in the final for basically the same hit but nothing happens to him here. Probably wouldn’t have been a major if Smith-Pelly wasn’t hurt, but still a pointless hit that isn’t helping Rome’s cause.
