Carle is ok but coburn is a top 10 defensive d guy. Good signing. This flyers team had no limits to how good they can be. My guess is they lose carle and timmonen next season but sign some nice talent with the cap space they create.

Though they haven't won a cup the last decade or so the flyers have been one of the smartest most well run NHL team. I mean is their any doubt as to who got the better end of the trades they made last year? People were asking where will they get scoring from, and look at them they lead the NHL in scoring. The future for the flyers looks great. If schenn who was playing very well comes back and is the guy we all think he can be we might be talking dynasty for the flyers.

Matt Carle sucks. If this helps facilitate his exit, I am all for it. He is terrible on both ends of the ice. Pronger carries him when they play together and Meszaros carried him as much as he could last year in Pronger's absence. I would rather see Kerry Huffman or Karl Dykhuis on defense than Carle. I get so consumed picking apart his mistakes during games I sometimes forget to enjoy just watching the game.
