“lots of instances…” that’s a pretty big claim…I’ve been here his whole professional career and I haven’t heard about them. I’m curious what details you have about those “instances”?

The whole thing about getting “back on the ice already” and “whining”…you say you aren’t a hater…but I’m having a tough time seeing how you are anything but that. You are unhappy about him not playing “already” and once he’s out there you look forward to being un-happy about his whining. Please tell me how any of this makes any sense unless you just plain hate the guy. If you didn’t hate him, then you would have just let this article go in the first place…right?

It’s not about 90% health right now…it’s about being a sure as he can be that he’s recovered. The truth is, he won’t know until after a hit. In that case, any player would be concerned about taking that first big hit…but scared? Again, I’m not sure you really understand Crosby very well.

Oh and get back on the ice already. Cleared to play, then why aren’t you playing? You are Sidney Crosby, it’s not like your going to hurt your team at 90% out there. I think he’s scared to get hit again. What’s going to change two weeks from now?

I acknowledge his talent, but from my perspective he cries to the refs constantl. Sure other guys do too but certainly not all, and I’m happy cheering for the Toews’ of the world. There were lots of instances that back up the entitlement claim early in his career from inside the penguins clubhouse and out. Now he’s the golden boy so no one is allowed to say anything negative. I can’t really argue that it’s not what they say, it’s what they do that matters, but for the face of the NHL…I’d rather be overloaded with quotes, commercials, promos and press conferences from a guy with more personality than bellybutton lint. I don’t hate Crosby. Hate is a strong word, but Im cheering for just about anyone else.

Yup, the first guy’s comment was way off and the whole thing about him whining all the time…does everyone turn a blind eye to the fact that every player whines at the ref, he’s a hockey player for f-sakes, why does he need to have an out going personality, I don’t care about pre and post game comments, I like to watch players play, not talk.

While I can certainly understand…and even partially agree with all of the “enough already” type comments…I really don’t understand the “sense of entitlement” or even “lack of personality” comments.

To me, if you have paid any attention to what Crosby had done and said…or what any of the guys that have played on his team’s have said…he’s the opposite of that. They all comment about how he’s just “one of the guys” on the team.

I’d like you to read this quote from the 2007 playoffs…and you tell me if this sounds like a guy with a sense of entitlement…

“The spotlight is not important to me. You work hard all year, and even before that, you work hard your whole life to get in the NHL and then to get in the playoffs. Where the spotlight is, that’s not really a concern for me. I just want to win.”

I know concussions are serious but enough already. No symptoms for a while now, get back on the ice Crosby. I can’t wait to hear the whining every time he gets grazed from here on in. I’m sorry but the lack of personality, they sense of entitlement…Best player in the game no doubt, but I’ve never been a fan of this guy. Yes I am Canadian.
