I don’t trust any official statement from the Russian government–especially one that pawns off responsibility from the government (where it should be) to one individual who cannot defend himself. There are SERIOUS deficiencies in the Russian airline industry and this is just one more piece of evidence. How can they determine it was the pilot who hit the brakes and not a mechanical malfunction that caused a brake system failure? Don’t buy this for one minute.
