Bolts are 95.9% in home attendance so far in 2011, 87.4% in 2010. Compare to some other “big market” teams at http://espn.go.com/nhl/attendance . Not bad for a “small market” team with a small population to draw from within an hour of the arena.

See you would think so but that just shows how little you truly know. This was for an online submission for one of the local newspapers, not a television broadcast or anything of the sort. It’s quick, thrown up fast and not meant to be flashy. Besides, Tampa-St. Pete is around 11-12 in the national television markets so its not like they are some backwoods bunch when it comes to that.

The ones who call the Lightning “small market” are likely a.) insecure Panther fan..or two or b.) big bloated markets that haven’t won a Cup in ages. Nice try, though.

Really, Brotha???An article about a coach going off on his teams effort and you gotta bring in that whiny, tired “small market” pissing and moaning again? Give it a freakin rest. Enjoy hockey for what it is-THE GREATEST SPORT ON EARTY-instead of focusing on the big market/small market thing.
And it was a piss poor effort by the Bolts last night. They better get their act together and bring their ‘A’ game if they don’t want to get blown off the ice by the Blackhawks on Friday
