Do not anger Guy Boucher

Does Guy Boucher look like the kind of guy that you’d want to make angry? He looks like a James Bond villain—only with crazier eyes. Unfortunately for the 20 players in the Tampa Bay locker room, Tuesday night’s effort against the Carolina Hurricanes is the type of effort that did not please their leader. After the game, Boucher insisted that “if we don’t fight and battle, we’re going to lose against every team in this league.”

Not good for a team that neither fought, nor battled for the majority of their 4-2 defeat.

Check out Boucher’s interview with the Tampa Tribune (video link) after the game. You won’t be sorry.

Watch the spelling there fella. (we pour a glass of wine when we feel poorly about life, and sometimes it makes us feel better)

He’s not as entertaining as Torts, but he’s pretty damn scary!

Is it possible to watch anything now without it being preceded by a thirty second ad?

    Wow, badass.

Yea, he definitely coaches in a small market. One camera. At the peak of the interview, Coach Boucher had 2 people getting quotes from him. Crazy.

Really, Brotha???An article about a coach going off on his teams effort and you gotta bring in that whiny, tired “small market” pissing and moaning again? Give it a freakin rest. Enjoy hockey for what it is-THE GREATEST SPORT ON EARTY-instead of focusing on the big market/small market thing.
And it was a piss poor effort by the Bolts last night. They better get their act together and bring their ‘A’ game if they don’t want to get blown off the ice by the Blackhawks on Friday

Bolts are 95.9% in home attendance so far in 2011, 87.4% in 2010. Compare to some other “big market” teams at http://espn.go.com/nhl/attendance . Not bad for a “small market” team with a small population to draw from within an hour of the arena.

See you would think so but that just shows how little you truly know. This was for an online submission for one of the local newspapers, not a television broadcast or anything of the sort. It’s quick, thrown up fast and not meant to be flashy. Besides, Tampa-St. Pete is around 11-12 in the national television markets so its not like they are some backwoods bunch when it comes to that.

The ones who call the Lightning “small market” are likely a.) insecure Panther fan..or two or b.) big bloated markets that haven’t won a Cup in ages. Nice try, though.

You know, I can’t help but think he’d send a truly terrifying message by showing up in a purple suit with green hair one day and asking the players if they wanted to know how he got those scars.
