With guys like Carter and Nash, being pushed is exactly what’s needed – they lapse into complacency too easily and a tough coach can go a long way to forcing them to play their best consistently.

Made the playoffs in 09 under Hitcock and immediately tanked back to the cellar. Bring him back.

Somebody doesn’t give a flip… or is totally incompetent in the front office, and it bleeds down through the ranks, the coaches, players, and onto the ice. They’re a subpar franchise that needs some top level changes to even remotely matter in the NHL… and be more than an almost guaranteed W for opponents.

Arniel at least has the excuse that his theoretically awesome players have sucked out loud for years. Everyone knows the Jackets have a godawful roster. The Rangers? The Blues? Not many excuses. Road trips aren’t much of a cover. Colorado’s winning everywhere BUT at home and they’re supposed to be a lottery squad.
