With guys like Carter and Nash, being pushed is exactly what's needed - they lapse into complacency too easily and a tough coach can go a long way to forcing them to play their best consistently.

Blue Jackets are the Cardinals of the NHL

Made the playoffs in 09 under Hitcock and immediately tanked back to the cellar. Bring him back.

Somebody doesn't give a flip... or is totally incompetent in the front office, and it bleeds down through the ranks, the coaches, players, and onto the ice. They're a subpar franchise that needs some top level changes to even remotely matter in the NHL... and be more than an almost guaranteed W for opponents.

See 'Detroit Lions' after dumping Matt Millen.

Arniel at least has the excuse that his theoretically awesome players have sucked out loud for years. Everyone knows the Jackets have a godawful roster. The Rangers? The Blues? Not many excuses. Road trips aren't much of a cover. Colorado's winning everywhere BUT at home and they're supposed to be a lottery squad.
