I was at that game in the Metrodome, sitting next to a Wild season ticket-holding family of 4 wearing Wild jerseys that ditched the hockey game to see the Twins’ one game playoff. They didn’t even have time to get rid of their hockey tickets. Those home opener seats simply went empty.

Everyone loves a hockey game, but it’s tough to pass up watching a sporting event that’s truly winner-take-all, especially if you can see it in person.
