Having said that, Chara should take the first opportunity to deliver a bone-crushing check on Max. Send him into orbit. Then we can get that out of the way and move on. Habs fans will have something to bitch about besides their horrible play this year.

Doesn’t the fact that the NHL has re-configured the glass around the benches vindicate Chara? Of course it does. If he makes the same play tonight (go get ‘em Z), there will be minimal damage at best. Unfortunate accident, changes made, everybody is better for it.

Now everybody shut up and play hockey. (fat chance)
