Now, even though it’s merely coincidence, the Jackets FO will claim it was the suspension and injuries that caused all the problems. So the front office will stay in place. Nothing good, long term, will EVER happen to this team as long as Mike Priest is President. NOTHING. The man redefines incompetent and is the driving force behind CBJ being one of the worse organizations on ice and the most condescending off ice. Until that cancer is removed, the body will never heal, never stay strong, never flourish and grow. Nothing is different in Columbus today. This is still a team that has NO chance to win the Cup. One win changes nothing. The fundamental flaws are still there for everyone to see. We all know if this was a ten game series with Detroit that Detroit would end up 9-1, 8-2 at worse.
