It was Kessel who held out that year because of the contract dispute. Thus Kessel forcing the Bruins to trade him. And after all that I would say it worked out pretty well for the Bruins so like we all said last night:

I couldn’t agree more, especially the part about Lucic. Time to trade him; well, it’s way past the time for that.

As for not getting too far ahead of ourselves, exactly right, too. All those factors about Toronto certainly didn’t hurt the Bruins, but I still feel they are far better than they have ben playing thus far. They will find their groove. Seguin is feelin’ it and should have a good year, which will help immensely.

Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. They played against a tired team who played the second game of a back-to-back and a terrible backup goalie. I’m happy for the win but to say they are back on track might be going out on a limb.

And it’s nice to see Lucic contribute- IN A BLOWOUT! That is the only time he scores points. Useless.

This is more of what I expected from them. Too much veteran leadership and confidence for this team to not show up and play smart.
