Wait, hang on – the fans were told that Boston would get a penalty if they kept acting like Bostonians, and THE FIRST THING THEY DID WAS GIVE BOSTON A PENALTY? Christ. And people think Philly and Montreal are bad. At least they don’t actively, and knowingly, screw their own teams.

Oh, look. The thug patrol’s brilliant strategy of treating hockey like a bar brawl on ice is showing its holes. Funny how teams so accurately represent their cities, eh? Vancouver’s a team laden with whiny pricks who think their high skill makes them better than you, Boston’s full of street punks who somehow stumbled their way into a hockey rink in their drunken stupor, et cetera, et cetera… it baffles me that a squad that is roughly nine-tenths enforcers can win at anything. Then again, their only skill player is in the spot that counts – the net.

They won the Campbell Cup last year. Uncle Colie isn’t around any more to protect their goon style of play. No team in NHL history got away with more crap than these thugs last year. They are a total disgrace.

Bruins are playing tight. Nothing is working for them right now. You’d think they lost the Stanley Cup Finals. And it’s not lost on the Bruins that the Canes have had their number of late.

Plenty of time to get it worked out if they can just loosen up and play consistant hockey.

Plain and simple, Julien did everything but throw equipment at a ref. For the entire 3rd period, he was doing nothing but screaming and waving his arms around in his best Kermit the Frog impression possible. After the first round of Bruins fans throwing things on the ice, they announced over the PA per the rules, don’t throw items on the ice or the Bruins will get a bench minor. Well, here comes a whole second wave of items on the ice, and the eject Julien without causing him to get a fine/suspension, which he so whole heartedly deserved. At the time it’s an ejected from game for misconduct, but the refs did him a favor by having it reassigned, lucky in my opinion.

I’m not sure what to say, they are lucky the penalties didn’t start raining earlier, specifically when a Bruin headlocked Skinner and then performed a wrestling move on him behind the net while the puck is completely in front of the net. It was an extremely ugly game played by a Goon Squad, not a hockey team.
