best thing all round would be for cherry to “retire” shortly. the guy is beyond ancient and clearly addle-pated like so many older citizens. he has sunk way below the minimal journalistic standards that HNIC usually requires and more and more makes the Hanson Brothers look like sages….”old time hockey!” indeed.

I believe Don has his right to free speech and when Ron says he had no problem with what Don said, that to me is him defending Cherry’s right to his own opinion. However whatever information Don based that opinion on was wrong, he issued an apology, and that should be the end of it. Ron is a pilar of class at the CBC as well as an integral part of HNIC and in this case Grimson is out of line in going after him for what amounts to nothing in the eyes of everyone but him

Like to see Cherry and MacLean fired. You have a public station that abhors violence, and a highly paid ‘expert’ who can’t see the sport and only sees the violence. Even Fox fires some its idiots after they’ve jumped a certain number of sharks.
