The Boston Bruins couldn’t squeeze out a win in Tyler Seguin‘s audition as a first line center, but don’t blame the second pick of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. The budding star continues to dazzle with his offensive instincts and undeniable high-end skills.

He made an impact on many occasions against the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday night, as he fired four shots on goal and played a little more than 20 minutes. Many people prefer to live their sporting lives through video clips, though, so this footage of his astounding wrist shot goal should do the trick. (It’s also a moment that will make it that much tougher for Claude Julien to limit Seguin’s time on ice, although it’s likely that Julien will do what he wants with the developing star.)

Tyler Seguin no doubt has skill and is an exciting young player to watch, so this is by no means a dish on him…

But it is so annoying to listen to Pierre McGwire give ‘Tyler Seguin’ updates thoughout the game.

In the finals last year, every time he hit the ice Pierre sounded a giddy teenage girl. ‘[OMG]Tyler Seguin is on the ice guys’ or ‘Seguin still hasn’t played in the third period, when he gets a shift, expect him to be fresh and good things could happen.’ or ‘Tyler Seguin is being shifted with XXX, it will be interesting to see if he can give the Bruins a lift.’

    Give it a rest.

Last night was little different. It was another Seguin love fest. The booth commentators also seem fixated on Seguin, but its not as bad as Pierre.
