Absolutely the stuff that needs to be taken out of the game. You can’t be recklessly swinging your stick at an opponent. Regardless that his stick was redirected by other other players stick, he was swinging at him and in the end it he is responsible for the blow.

If Bouchard didn’t swing his stick none of this would have happened. Calvert Aline couldn’t have brought Bouchard’s stick to his mouth. I hate stick swinging (even if someone is swinging at an airborne puck) and this is a good message to the players. I guess you Minnesota fans thought Dino Ciccarelli’s stick swing was no big deal either, eh?

there was zero intent and no need for a suspension.. a ridonk suspension and now I am no longer a fan on shanaban or however it goes… please. I get he is responsible but we don’t need to get carried away here. A fine would and should have been plenty.
