ILB215, thank you for allowing me to clarify. I do know Recchi and Luc personally. I only know “Dougie” (is that your nickname for him because you know him so well?) and Sakic by reputation. Most importantly, I have met and spoke with Jagr on multiple occasions. I also know his reputation in Pittsburgh, Washington and New York. I know many who have known him over the years. So, maybe you need to quit assuming that everyone who posts on here is as uninformed and unconnected as you. “Ha, do you think?”

I’m glad to see him back. He is of rare talent. Let’s not forget this guy racked up over 50 goals and 100 points on a regular season basis – and as recent as 05 and 06. He has grown a lot in his career but never lost sight of the business end of the sport. Can’t blame him for shopping around when other teams with a real chance show interest. Had he worn a Wings sweater, I would have been happier.

It is truly a shame that such a gutless, selfish coward may rank ahead of such genuine class acts as Sakic, Robitaille, Recchi & Gilmour statistically in NHL annals. I’ve never rooted for a season to end prematurely, but this greedy sack of garbage sure is testing my will power in that regard.
