i would prefer that hockey players actually get real nicknames. i have no idea why they can’t be more creative, but instead just use a variation of their last name. prongers should be “letterman”. Hartnell could be “Carrot Top” , giroux should be “alfred” for “Alfred E Newman” etc… they have plenty of time to think outside of the box.

Am I the only one who gets insanely annoyed when hockey fans refer to players with the generic nicknames they call each other in the locker room? If you’re not calling for a pass on the ice, I’d make it illegal to refer to any of them at Hartsy, Prongs, G, Reemer or anything else.
