I'm confused on the Western Michigan invite. This school has been at the bottom of the CCHA for years, excluding this past season. They will be bottom feeders again in this new conference as well.

Schools like Minnesota State and Bemidji get hosed. Just when they thought their programs were on the edge of becoming relevant.

who the hell is going to want to play Alaska-Anchorage and/or Alaska-Fairbanks? Those 2 will be eliminated from college hockey.

This also will kill Alabama Huntsville.

I can see why the big 10 schools want to make their own conference in hockey. But a big 10 isn't a college hockey conference with only half of the schools having hockey. Until Iowa, Nebraska, northwestern, Purdue, Illinois, and Indiana have hockey programs, that is ridiculous to even consider that a conference.

Then North Dakota, UMD, CC, and Denver leave to start their own conference? It all comes down to the might dollar.

Schools like Bemidiji will never see the frozen 4 again. They can't compete.
