giving pronger the C would be a waste because more than just about anyone else in the league pronger doesn’t need a C to be respected and have the authority to speak up. briere should be the captain, even besides the whole injury situation with pronger i think briere just embodies what they need in a captain until giroux is ready.

I agree. It seems that the team responds to Roy as they do Vanek. And this is coming from someone who isn’t from Buffalo.

Does it really matter who the captain is or if you even have one? You don’t need to have a letter on your jersey to help lead a team.

JT wouldn’t be my first thought for NYI captain, but that doesn’t really matter. The important thing is that whoever is chosen be the team’s choice and if they are not ready to make that choice, it would be fine to go into the season with a number of As.

I hope so haha. But there is so much parity in the NHL, it’s tough to predict a winner. We definitely have a shot.
