Matt Cooke is ridiculous. If the NHL won’t discipline him then GM’s across the league should blacklist players like this and keep them out of the league out of respect for eachother’s teams and their player’s well-being. I don’t ever want to be a guy that wishes injury on somebody-but Cooke is wearing me thin. I don’t buy the ‘playing hard’ and ‘finishing my checks’ b.s., he’s a headhunter and he knows it. Get him out of the league now!

Being a Pens fan I have to agree with you. Matt Cooke is on thin ice and since they can’t discipline him now, he needs to be put on thin ice and any slight glimpse of intent to injure he needs to be suspended for as long as possible . I really don’t care if he says he’s going to change, he is a black eye on this game and will continue to be as long as he is playing.

Can someone please explain to me how guys in the NHL and MLB are out weeks and even longer with concussions and the after effects, yet NFL players rarely miss a game. The NFL needs to get real about this and so do the players.

After two concussions and significant missed playing time in 2 consecutive seasons, It would be wise for Mr. Savard to hang them up. Get a job in Hockey in some other capacity (front office, agent, broadcasting).
