I’ve always liked the idea of a city’s sports teams sharing colors. Since New York City’s colors are orange and blue, it makes a little sense, but it would make a lot more sense if the Isles move to Brooklyn. Also, the script looks like the exact same font for the Rangers’ 3rd from last year, only curved.

This design isn’t very appealing–their practice sweaters are nicer if they needed an alternate design to make money–but who cares as long as the team wins? Non-issue for me although I would prefer it if the Islanders, Mets, and really any sports franchise stuck with traditional threads.
