I never said anything about how he reacts to concussions, I don't think you read past the fact that I am a Pens fan. I was just saying that I hope he does whats best for his health, and that he has nothing else he needs to prove in the hockey world.

he should've been put on the shelf after the steckel hit. if you watch the pens on a regular basis, it was obvious in the next game that something was off with crosby. the hedman hit was the second concussion in a row and thats far more serious because of the close proximity of the two. if he needs another season then thats what he should do for sure.

You don't know how the player will turn out after his first concussion. Us Flyers didn't think concussions would derail Big E's career but it did. Time will tell with Crosby but his age as nothing to do with how well he will handle concussions in the future. His body didn't respond well to his first concussion and leaves no guarantee about his recovery. It's a scary thing.

Being a Penguins fan since the day I was born, I just want to say that as much as I miss Crosby, if the reports are true I hope he does the best thing for his health. Hell, this guy has already won every major award in the hockey world, he has nothing left to prove. As much as the hockey world would miss him I just don't want to see him turn into another Lindros, he has so many years ahead of him (I mean he is only 25).

Crosby get better, and if you can play without dangering your health then by all means, play, but if playing means that you may be decreasing the time you have left on this planet, call it quits.

How about this.... just wait for training camp to start. If Crosby isn't there, we know these reports were correct and that Crosby's agent was being less then forth coming. Otherwise, all the stories about him still having problems were BS.

Side Note: Even if Crosby has been forced to stop skating... that doesn't mean hes been "shut down". He could still be allowed to work out in other ways. So his agent saying he hasn't been shut down might not be a lie, even if Crosby has in fact been forced off the ice. Again, wait till camp starts and then we'll know.
