I disagree, I think the original comment was a huge deal. If you are going to call out the opposition, you better be able to back it up. (you can give him all the praise in the world, but the second you say “I would have made that save” you are calling the guy out)
Luongo choked in the next game. He gave up three goals & got pulled less than 10 minutes into the first period. That would have been bad enough on its own, but combined with the fact that he was talking smack about the other goalie prior to this game makes it one of the greatest chokes by an individual in recent memory.

Honestly, a bounce here or a bounce there and this series only goes five games. Twenty-three to eight in goals scored? Really?

When he said he could have made that save it wasnt that big of a deal. Because the media left out the part where he said Thomas makes saves that I never could make. It was the next day at the airport when he said I dont hear Thomas pumping my tires. That was the dumb comment. Oh well. He will have a strong year. Good on him for saying that though.

The loss to Boston better have hurt a lot… otherwise he never really wanted it in the first place. Although, that might explain a few things.
