James, I never saw PD’s article… but about the following:

“First, let’s look at the video of Yzerman and Salming (Again, PD reveals that Salming’s name leaked, an idea that is strengthened by the release date on this video. The actual planned release date is September 13 rather than September 9.)”

September 9 is the European release date, as that video was first released via EA’s NHL 12 Swedish FaceBook page, and the “North American Version” of that video, with the North American date of 9/13, was just put up earlier today on EA’s NHL 12 North American FaceBook page. Just to clear up some of the confusion there.

The teaser trailer for the Legends, which gave a huge hint at Howe… showed him from behind, not wearing a helmet. As has also been confirmed via Jeremy Roenick’s twitter today, as he was playing NHL 12 at an event.

This should all be made official later today though. Lemieux and Howe are the final two, no doubt about it, as was also leaked by JR earlier today.

Would love to see it, but given that the previous two cover skaters were Kane and Toews, and with Chelios and Roenick, I can’t imagine they’d add yet another ‘Hawk. Though I wouldnt mind if they traded the Jet for Roenick.

I’d guess Mario and Gordie. But I don’t mind the nitpicking of equipment. Dress game is such a huge part of hockey. We identify with players partly with what equipment they use/wear.
