I disagree with the end of your comment. I don’t listen to much AM, but hockey is huge in Philadelphia… basketball is a joke.

Ignorant words from a guy who has under achieved his entire career. Richards and Carter, two great players were traded for many reason but the media wasn’t one of them. Ask Richard’s why he chose not to go to the All Star game? I guess he felt partying in the Caribbean was more important then the honor of going to the game. That decision more then the drinking and parting is the reason he is no longer a Flyer. Players grow up and I wish nothing but the best for Richards and Carter. Carcillio can’t play and isn’t worth mentioning.

My ancestors first arrived in the US in the mid 1700s in Philly. They quickly realized it was a dump and headed south.

The fans should not be thrown in, in the second last paragraph. Media is media, they sell a product for profit, it is their job. Sorry, Dan. I am sure the Chicago media will only ask you about your feelings and if you feel up to a challenge. The fans of Philly sports are not allowed to ask questions of the players, so the way you kinda stuck us in there at the end is cheap. Dan didn’t even say fans in his quote.

I love WIP but hockey really isn’t discussed. Mainly Eagles and Phillies with mix of Sixers. I don’t think the personality heads admit to knowing a lot of hockey. There isn’t a strong demand of listeners wanting to talk about the FlyBoys. Unfortunately, that’s the way it is.

If he is talking about the talk radio media in Philly, he is right. They are a bunch of hockey know-nothings. I am a big Keith Jones fan but refuse to listen to WIP at this point. I hear MacNow is pretty good with hockey. But the big name radio guys blow when it comes to hockey- Eskin awful, Cataldi awful, Missanelli covered it 30 years ago and knows nothing about it now.

Haha of course. No one is ever a fan of the media once they leave the city. Our media is hard on the players because they actually care. You think Philly is the only media that is tough on it’s players? Montreal? NYC? Toronto? C’mon dude. Oh well. You just give people another reason to bash Philly as if we are the only city that isn’t hard on our players. Enjoy Joe. I’m sure you are loving this.
