I like the name and most of the logo, but the font saying “St. John’s” at the top doesn’t seem to fit in with the rest of it. I really dig the pattern of having the geography as the snow on the mountain though.

It’s fine. Fans will just call them the Caps anyways. Very blue and cool.

Mr. Yerdon should get a new dictionary. Perhaps just getting a dictionary in the first place would suffice, as icecaps (sans space) is indeed a word and should not set off any of these so-called (and decidedly pretentious) “grammar alarms” of his.

Why is the name silly? Sure, it could use a space, but who hasn’t heard about ” white capped mountains”?

Love the name, but then, back in the days I lived in a Raleigh, a local ECHL team was named… the Raleigh IceCaps. #nostalgia!
