I didn’t say it was all his fault now did I? If you have any reading comprehension skills at all you would easily see I was simply pointing out the hypocricy from the guy who has all the power over Matt Cooke. He preaches about cleaning up the game (after two non-dirty hits on Crosby I might add), and then gives a massive contract to the dirtiest player in the league. I guess he means he only wants to clean up the rest of the league… which isn’t even close to as dirty as his own team.

Its actually all Cooke’s fault. He is the one who threw the hit, and while the Bruins might have rushed Savard back too fast… the whole situation was caused by the hit.

Yes, yes it’s all Lemieux’s fault. In fact, I’d blame Lemieux for the Bruins rushing Savard back for the ’09-’10 playoffs and Hunwick’s hit this year. That dirty Lemieux.

This is such a shame. While I’m not a Boston fan, its a huge tragedy to see a gifted player have his career cut in half due to an utter cheap shot. If its just a bad luck collision, or a clean hit with a bad outcome… so be it. This however, was completely avoidable and there is no reason for Savard to be in this position.

It still chaps my ass to this day that the league didn’t do a damn thing about Matt Cooke when this happened. Sure, they threw the book at him this year after yet more cheap shots… but it was a little late, and by a little I mean a ****ing lot. Funny thing is, for all the talk about dirty play from Lemieux and how its ruining hockey, he responded to Cookes ending of Savards career by giving him a nice big contract extension. What a joke.

I know two wrongs don’t make a right, but man I hope someone really head hunts Cooke before his career is over.

I miss savard.. I would love to see him back on the ice next season but of coarse that is highly unlikely
