Geez all this hate…from people who want to be called Winnipegers? Sold out for the next three seasons? I think I know why….this was published after the sell out and before the name was offically announced.

Tickets Already Being Re-Sold
Within minutes of ticket confirmation being given, season ticket holders were announcing their intentions to re-sell the tickets via E-bay and other services with an estimated starting price of two times face value.

8man, I think you have things backwards. The ticket sales were a fine start (selling out basically instantly for the next 3 seasons plus 8000 on the waiting list), merch sales are just another sign of support for the team.

well there’s already 8,000 people who plunked down $50 to be on the waiting list after season tickets sold out within seconds. There’d be more on that list if ownership hadn’t capped it at 8,000. With only 500 or so seats left for single game purchase, that arena won’t be empty for quite a while.

Also, it’s Winnipegers not Winnipegians.

Well the true test will be ticket sales, but this is a fine start. Winnipegians embracing the new gear and look…and several eage to break out the old gear they still have in their closets.
