He probably would’ve retired a couple years ago if Sidney Crosby shook his hand.

Actually from 1997-1998 it was mostly Kocur. Mac was on the line for starting games usually. McCarty was on the line with Yzerman and Holmstrom/Sandstrom Mac took over that spot once Kocur was during the 99 season.

Joe Kocur may have appeared on the Grind Line at some point, but it was mostly Kirk Maltby, Kris Draper and Darren McCarty.

Draper’s leadership (from what I’ve heard always first out on the ice) and face-off skill will be missed.

Not bad for $1. 4 Cups, 6 Finals, OT SC Finals game winner, Selke Trophy. Knew it was happneing because he didn’t want to tryout and the Wings aren’t going to lose someone like Emmerton for Draper.
