For me it all depends on what salary Rinne starts asking for. As much as I love Rinne and would not want to see him go if I were a Pred fan, (And I like them for what its worth. I love tough Defensive hockey ) In todays climate I would never pay an excess amount for a goaltender. Combine that with the fact there is usually some silly GM somewhere willing to mortgage the future for a young uber talented goalie and pay him a huge contract. (See Colorado/Varlamov) and you just know Nashville could stock itself with talented forwards to go with its great defense and Lindback who is reputed to be a good prospect. (or maybe Vokoun comes back next year…)

Couldn’t agree more, but the ‘youngster’ Bentley can hardly be considered a rookie anymore. His debut season was 2003. What were you thinkin?

Excellent survey of top tier talent, but keep your eye on Dierks Bentley. The youngster has shown good hands on guitar and around a hockey stick, decent maneuverability an stage on the ice in his men’s league, and sparkling presence at Bridgestone Arena in the spotlight and in the stands..

If I really had no choice, I’d let Vince Gill go and keep Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. Gill is a solid veteran and I love to watch him make love to an ice cream cone, but Underwood has more star power. Shy around the camera, and probably doesn’t know an icing from an ice cream cone, but overall more valuable to the team. Urban has more skills than the other two, and although he may be slowing down a bit, there’s always a chance his wife will make an appearance. And she has more star power than all three combined.
