Never said that he should write about the history of success. Which is why i said that it just seemed like he was using the past failures to hold against what the Jackets are doing now. No need to be so sensitive CB, The article didn’t seem biased. If you expect Mr. O’Brien to write about the Jackets legendary history of success, it will be a pretty short article (or one that will ruin his credibility as a journalist).

ok fair enough. It just came across as categorizing the Carter deal with what the Jackets have done in the past, which is pretty much all failure. I think the winner of the deal will be decided in about five years when Coutourier shows what he can do and Voracek proves to be the real deal or bust. Either way, the move needed to happen for both teams. Phili needed to unload salary, and Jackets needed immediate impact player and to jump start organization and fans

I didn’t mind the Jeff Carter deal at all, they just gave up quite a bit to get him and I felt the need to mention that. I think it was a deal they had to make (especially at his reasonable cap hit). We’ll have a better idea of how much they improved their team once opening night approaches …

You seem so bias against the Blue Jackets. Its more of a risk for the Jackets to trade for Carter than it was for Phili to make the deal relying on all 18-19 year old prospects and Voracek? Marc Methot is really, really underrated in this league. Hes a pretty good defensemen. I didnt like the contract at first, but at second glance, it is right where it should be IMO.
