That’s a bit harsh. Erhoff will do fine. I doubt he’ll easily hit 50+pts again while in Buffalo. I wish the Canucks could have re-signed him too, but he’s not Anson Carter.

Two words for Ehrhoff — Anson Carter. Unless the Sabres have a stay at home defenceman to back up his wandering and OMG moments and a playmaker like Henrik Sedin to feed him passes on the PP he will be a hugely overpaid acquisition. Hoff played his last two seasons on the highest scoring PP in the league with two NHL scoring champions who were quite happy to pass him the puck. Anson Carter thought he was worth big bucks after having the best season of his career playing with the twins, and it looks like Hoff thinks so too. Time will tell I guess.
