Here’s a hypothesis: True North was all set for the new team to be called the Manitoba Moose (there were all sorts of stories around the time of the move about how True North had spent a lot of time building up that brand and making it something viable) then right after they announced the relocation they realized it would be a collasal mistake because the fans want their Jets back. So they’ve spent the last few weeks designing a logo and wordmark for the new Jets.

The only question will be whether it’s the Winnipeg Jets or the Manitoba Jets? At least that’s what I’m hoping.

There’s plenty of Jets throwback stuff available on the market, why not give draft picks that this weekend?

How can you be an ownership group that for years worked to get a team and not know what name you would use? If you can’t get a name and jersey ready by draft day that’s unprofessional and lame. I hope their using the draft to present the name and logo.
