BTW, one thing that always puzzles me: given how banged up guys get, doesn’t it become imperative at some point for the coach to sub in an average but healthy player for a good but injured one?

Erhoff in particular was just so hampered by injury that he was a liability throughout the finals. I know Ballard wasn’t exactly a great option, but surely a healthy defence doesn’t get as lit up on the rush as a crippled one?
