Hystorical, I have great respect for you my friend ! The bruins and bolts had a great series, game 7 was one of the best games ever. No penalties( none needed to be called as you said) they let the players play and decide the game. No whining on your part, kudos. I would be saying the same if tampa won game 7. It's unfortunate that people like habsman and warpstone can't get over the fact that the bruins put together a great game plan to defeat a formidable opponent, and it took seven games!

If only more people could see the game for what it is.... a tough physical contest, and those with the most heart and guts get through. It's too bad a lot of folks see things through their own teams colored glasses.

I have great respect for the bolts and their players. They never whined about the game being too tough, etc.. They played hard through it and took the bruins to seven hard games. Good luck to you and the bolts next season. I look forward to the bruins beating them in the eastern conference final again next year!

As a Bolts fan, I would have loved for the Lightning to have gotten a power play in that game. Special teams was where we were going to have to score given the way that game was going. But the fact of the matter is there were very few instances where I could recall a penalty should have been called. They would have had to force ticky tack interference penalties to call anything. It was a great defensive game between to even teams. Something Vancouver can't understand after getting their butts handed to them in the Cup final. -- Would the Sedins have came back after taking a puck to the nose like Stammer? Oh wait, they would have to actually attempt to block a shot first.

Apparently you didn't watch game 7 against tampa. There were possibly 2 tripping incidents that could have been called, one against each team. It was a super clean game.
And as for "Mr G. Campbell’s father" a) he stepped down to appease people like you. b) It was a great 6 years that the Florida Panthers won the cup! oh, they didn't? But Campbell was on their team?!?!?

I'm sorry you are so upset that your team lost, maybe next year they will cash the checks that their mouths write.

Nope, they won the cup. It wasn't particularly pretty, but it never really is. Fair enough.

But 'cmon they certainly didn't get any gonzo officiating going against them either like most teams did. From the refereeing to the favourable layoff despite the conference final going to 7, the Bruins got every break possible as far as all the league intangibles go.

Case in point: game 7 vs Tampa where we're expected to believe that an infraction-full series suddenly turned into the Lady Byng tea party?

Not a conspiracy (the NHL is too dumb to ever pull one off), but just gutless refs who know their lucrative playoff allocations are decided by one Mr G. Campbell's father. :)

Seriously, I don't see how Bruins fans aren't pissed about the conflict of interest either. Why let some goof exec at NHL HQ cast any shadow over your achievements?

Of course Boston escaped most serious injuries with the exception of Horton: they spend most of the playoffs slashing and cross-checking their opponents into oblivion.

Seriously, the Canucks may be dirty divers, but the Bruins are simply classic chop artists. But can you really blame them when the NHL doesn't have the balls to call their cheap stuff? A Bruins player takes a cheapshot at a Sedin and the refs decide to call off-setting penalties. Big surprise the other team always took the lion's share of injuries in each of the Bruins' series.

The lesson here for the rest of the NHL? Play however you want during the regular season, but load up on the goon squad for when the refs swallow their whistles in the playoffs.
