Let’s see Rome. Let’s start with leaving your feet which was completely unnecessary. Or, how bout checking a guy that had gotten rid of the puck WELL beforehand. But to those saying what could have Horton done??? How about paying attention and looking up ice instead of at the sideboards admiring his pass for 3 seconds???? And to those Canucks fans who do not think it was a late hit, consider this. If the hit was not late, then Lucic would have been offsides.

The NHL made an example out of Rome – it was the wrong time to make a statement! The open ice check was good and Rome should have been called for roughing at worst – some say interface. Suspension was out of line!

If Rome had made that check on Ovechken or Stamkos, they would have got up and kept playing!

Rome is right.

If it wasn’t for Colie Campbell, the Bruins wouldn’t have made it past round one. Chara, Lucic, Ference (twice), Horton all should have been suspended at some point over the past two months. But Gregory Campbell had daddy looking out for him and the dirty play of the Bruins. Didn’t anyone think it was a bit curious that Old Colie stepped down before the finals? Just a coincidence right? The NHL head office is cesspool of nepotism. Did Rome deserve to be susspended? Yes, but so did the sucker punching thugs from Boston, and they weren’t.

Luongo’s comments are currently the most overblown story ever. Jeez, everyone couldn’t be more sensitive. Sometimes it’s fun to hear trash talking, even amongst guys who are supposed to be part of a sports “fraternity”. And this doesn’t even qualify as trash talking.

I didn’t agree with the length of Rome’s suspension, but really he shouldn’t publicly complain about it. I don’t agree with the length, but I understand it, at least.

The diving – both teams have done that. At least Stu Hackel pointed it out from the Boston side… i haven’t seen another site do that.
