Joe Yerdon, did you watch the Detroit series or are you copy/pasting comments from shills? “Embattled Marleau”? The Sharks won that series because of Marleau’s defensive play! Every “good” player can’t score every 4 games otherwise the scores would be 10 to 9.

That hit was TYPICAL of 99% of hits. Just look at all the plays with a player going back to retrieve a puck and the opposing player riding/slamming the puck retriever into the boards! (Face to back). McGinn’s hands never rose above sternum height!

I don’t think should have been a minor penalty in the first place.

If there was a 5 minute major required was just a few minutes earlier on Aaron Rome cross check on (SJ) player. He was crouched down/skating and Rome cross checked (SJ) player head first into the boards.
A. Just because (SJ) player didn’t break his neck or had blood the Ref. let it slide. This deserved a major and NHL suspension.
B. The Refs. are responsible for letting VC get away with so many dangerous hits.

…barely hung on and tried to lose it. Great start, but far from a convincing win in any way.

Horrible boarding penalty, both in its intent to injure, and timing of a 5 minute major.

Canucks struggle on power plays was the difference in this one. Wierd, almost ‘forgot how’ kind of struggle.
