No argument- Julien is a great coach, and we’re here partly because of his efforts. Had he played Seguin sooner, he might have had this star effort against Montreal or Philly- he could also have ruined the kid. Who knows? My only point is if he tried to bench him for tonight, he’d have a riot outside his office tomorrow.

Makes one wonder if this is the beginning of a really great career for the kid, but there’s no knowing that for a while yet. Certainly this can’t hurt his development, though.

Finally, Julian gets it. Sanity rules. But let’s not be too harsh, he did get us B’s to the conference finals. He’s a good coach. And let’s not get too ahead of ourselves … Seguin is still a rookie and Tampa will be keyed in on him tonight. He may not have the same magic tonight, but it would be impossible to repeat game 2′s performance. I have him pegged at 1 goal, 1 assist tonight.

One thing is for sure, ratings will be up tonight. The Tyler bandwagon is growing in Boston and around the league. You know, if Julian hadn’t sat him out for the latter part of the season and the first two rounds, it’s possible he could have had some really rough games and had his confidence blown out, and maybe he would have been done for the season. He did have some really bad games at the end of the year. This may have been the perfect scenario for this kid all along. So, thanks Claude. All that matters are the results.

Let’s not be too harsh on Kaberle.
If I’m not mistaken, he actually took a shot in game 2.

While time was “in”.

Further analysis will be required to confirm whether it was towards the opposing goal and if it actually reached the goalkeeper.

Nah, really Julien has no choice here. If he’d benched the kid after what he’s done in the past two games, it wouldn’t matter if the B’s win or lose- Bruins fans would be ready to strangle Julien.

If only there were some way to bench Kaberle and get Thornton to play defense, the scenario would be perfect…
