Didn’t Jagr lose a ton of money on gambling and stuff?

I assume that he can make a boatload more playing there than in the NHL. Heck they are still playing Federov millions a year, I am sure they will pay Jagr well too. And the NHL would likely be a million or two a year before taxes.

If Jagr is willing to come back at a reasonable price, this could make a whole lot of sense for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the short term. You correctly point out not having to carry the scoring load would benefit greatly, and judging by his goal tallies overseas, he’d be absolutely lethal on that power play unit with Malkin and Crosby.
